Jive Kick Exercises for Dancers

Jive kicks are never pretty when your feet are flexed. So today, we’re working those strong pointed feet with these jive kick exercises. You can of course, do jive kicks in various positions: down, forward, side, back, up! Try it out.

Warm up:

  • Merengue Walks

  1. Working the Pointe (forward position)
  2. Working the Pointe (Back position)

    Liwen I was very sorry not to see you on Friday, the 25th, for feel good Friday. I had a stroke in 2011 and I’m still trying to recover from it. My left lower extremity was affected. Your exercises are helping me. I hope to see this coming Friday.
