JOINING THE CLASS FOR THE FIRST TIME:
1. How do I sign up for online classes?
SUPER EASY. Just purchase the class you want, then you will get an email instantly, with a unique weblink for the online class you signed up for.
2. How do I take the online class?
Step 1. If you don’t already have ZOOM on your device, then clicking on the class weblink will automatically prompt you to download the ZOOM app. Or you can go to zoom.us to download it. There is no registration needed on Zoom.
Step 2. On the day of the class, you simply click on a weblink that you will have received after you buy this class.
That’s it. 🙂
Best practices for SETTING UP YOUR SPACE:
3. HOW to set up your Device with a TV/ Monitor?
We do recommend that you hook up your device (phone/ tablet/ ipad/ laptop) to your TV. Benefits of doing this:
- YOU can SEE & HEAR Better
By projecting onto your TV, you can see us much more clearly on your TV (vs your ipad/ laptop) and also hear us better.
- WE can SEE YOU Better
You can position your device lower down, and this way, the camera can capture your full body. This way, we can give you better corrections! You can also see yourself better when you are in Gallery view.
- FLEXIBILITY to move around
You can stand further away from your device and have more flexibility to move around freely.

4. How to ensure best picture and audio connectivity?
Close all applications on your device before you join the class.
Turn up the volume on your device/ TV.
5. What if I’m not tech-savvy. Will I be able to figure this out?
YES, you will. Everyone who has signed up so far, have been able to figure it out. We recommend that you sign up ahead of time, so that you can receive the instructions on how to join the class. That way, if you have any questions, you can contact us ahead of time.
5. What is the cut-off time to join the classes?
You can purchase each class right up until class time starts.
6. Can I still join if I’m running late?
If you’re running late, you can still join. It’ll be helpful to let us know ahead of time if you can.
7. What if I purchased the class, but cannot make it?
No problem. As long as you let us know prior to the class time that you cannot make it, we will give you a credit for a future class (to be taken within 14 days).
Classes missed without prior notice are non-exchangeable.
8. Do you offer a recording of the classes?
Not at this time. We value the LIVE interactions of the classes because we want to build a relationship with YOU and each one of our students. This way, you can ask questions and we can watch you dance and give specific feedback to help you BEST improve!
CLASS FORMAT QUESTIONS:
1. What is a LIVE group class like?
We do a LOT of dancing! It’s not a lecture, unlike most latin/ ballroom classes online. You will learn short pieces of choreography, upon which we will break down technical and performance elements.
We will also have a couple of interactive discussions where you’ll be able to ask us questions directly, just like in an in-person class. We will look at your dancing at specific intervals, and give the class feedback on what to work on.
2. Can I take the classes without a partner?
Yes! All the classes are do-able without a partner. 🙂
3. Do I need a lot space?
Nope. We’ll keep it nice and small because we don’t have a lot of space either! 😉 If you have carpet flooring, just wear socks.
4. Will it be easy to see/ follow?
Yes! We structure all our routines and teaching in a way that you can follow easily.
5. I don’t have a wood floor. Can I still join?
Yes! If you have carpet, just wear socks halfway (just have the sock cover the ball and toes, but not the heels). Or other comfortable footwear.
6. Can I request to work on something specific within a class?
Heck yea! You can email us or make a note when you purchase the class. 🙂
7. Can I remain invisible during class?
Yes. You have the option to turn your camera off whenever you join. You can still ask questions using the Chat function in zoom. Whatever makes you most comfortable and free to learn best!
